Mysteryflame was waiting for Wildfur and maybe Rainfall, so the long furred dark gray tom, could start hunting for herbs.

RAINFALL the clan is my life... Silent paws padded around the camp. Rainfall wandered around the camp, asking anybody for help, but it seemed that nobody needed any. He even asked the Elders, something no warrior wants to do. The large tom saw that Mysteryflame was standing around camp, waiting for someone. Rainfall bounded over to his medicine cat and dipped his head. "Need any help, Mysteryflame?" He asked, silently hoping that he could help with something.

Just as Wildfur was beginning to wonder where Rainfall was, he saw him sitting with Mysteryflame. The two cats were talking when Wildfur walked up.
"Hey, there you are Rainfall! We must have walked right past each other, I was looking for ya. Actually we do need some help, we're going on an herb gathering hunt, and we could use another warrior in the group". "Well if eveyone's ready, let's head out!", said Wildfur, as he began to head for the exit of the camp.

The dark grey long furred tom, was about to reply to Rainfall, when Wildfur came back. Mysteryflame was still a tad worried about what Hawkstar had said before, they had decided to leave. The dark grey tom, got up and walked after Wildfur, and he almost instantly started to scent for the familiar herb smells.

Once out of the camp, Wildfur immediatly headed for the frozen forest. Despite the recent lack of prey, Wildfur scented prey almost as soon as the group reached the hunting grounds. Sniffing the ground, Wildfur scented a mouse, and began to follow its scent trail. Hearing some faint rustling, Wildfur was able to spot the mouse, and he crept towards it until he was a fox-length away. Seeing his chance, he pounced with near lightning speed and landed with his paw right on the rodent, claws out. Wildfur grabbed its neck in his mouth and broke the mouse's neck, killing it quickly and mercifully.
Turning to the others, with the mouse still in his mouth he mumbled "Gwot uon!" (got one).

"Good job, Wildfur" the medicine cat meowed, and looked around for any familiar herbs. It was even harder with this kind of weather, but the herbs still get by.

RAINFALL the clan is my life... The large tom walked out of camp with Mysteryflame at his side. Then he saw Wildfur break off from the group and Rainfall sighed, looking slightly amused. "So Mysteryflame," Rainfall started, "What kind of herbs are we looking for?"

Mysteryflame thought about it for awhile, "Well, if you see any Horsetail or watermint, but watermint usually grows by a stream" he replied

Burrying the mouse he caught for retrieval later, Wildfur rejoined the group. Hearing Mysteryflame's request for herbs, Wildfur chimmed in "I think there's a small creek farther up ahead, we could go check there for some of the herbs you mentioned".

Mysteryflame nodded, and the long furred grey tom headed towards to creek which was up ahead.

Wildfur followed closely behind Mysteryflame, scenting the trees all around him for signs of prey. Normally this part of the Frozen Forest would be--well, frozen. The ice encased trees and bushes were thawing, droplets of water dripping all through the forest. Instead of snow covering the ground, it was now dotted with puddles of melted ice and snow, slowly saturating the earth.
When he and the others reached the creek he had mentioned earlier, he was a little startled at the obvious lack of ice covering its surface, which was normally coated with the slippery stuff. Looking all around, Wildfur saw some herb-looking vegetation on the far side of the stream, but at least half of it was wilting from the bizare heat wave the region was having. "So....what do we do now? Should we try to cross the big stream to check out those plants, or what?" Wildfur asked.

Mysteryflare sat down and looked at the plant across the stream and tried to remember if those were good herbs or bad ones. It took a few more moments for the long furred grey tom, to remember those plants was the watermint, and then he looked at the creek, it looked less stable. "It doesn't look to safe to cross, we could try and see if there is a smaller or something that goes over the creek" suggested the medicine cat.
